Three games into training camp and forward Mikey McLeod might be having his best training camp yet with two goals and an assist in those three games. He said he is continuing to build on each game and get his intensity back during camp.
"Camp has gone pretty good for me so far, we've had three games so far and I think I've built on each game and had some good linemates, getting some chemistry, some intensity back and just keep on building," said McLeod.

McLeod says that his training this offseason made him prepared and feel more comfortable coming into camp this season.
"I worked on my skating a lot more this summer. I had a skating coach that I haven't done in recent years so I got stronger on my skates and more confident when skating, quicker starts, edges, stuff like that. I was just more prepared and put less pressure on myself to make the team and just go in there, see how I do each game and try to do my best," said McLeod.
Getting to play in 20 NHL games last season definitely helped boost confidence for McLeod.
"I just knew I had a good summer and did everything I could to get myself prepared for this camp. I've put in a lot of extra work this summer and the confidence is there from last year, playing those 20 games last year and knowing the systems and everything so it's kind of easier now to come in here and play your game," said McLeod.
