Jamie Langenbrunner wasn't thrilled with the name, 'ZZ-Pops' was his lines nickname when he played with Zach Parise and Travis Zajac who were budding young players. Zach and Zajac made up the Z's and 'Pop' because Langenbrunner was the 'old guy' on the line.

His line? He loved.

The name? Not so much.

"Oh, I was I was never thrilled about that," the Devils alumnus joked on Speak of the Devils podcast.

"For me, it was two young kids with a ton of energy and a ton of love for the game and I think they helped rejuvenate me a little bit at that time, they got me excited to play again every day."

But now, Langenbrunner has no issue's issuing the title of 'Pops' to someone else. Gleefully, he says:

"I don't know if you've paid any attention to who's playing right now in Minnesota, but it has come full circle."

Langenbrunner is referring to former linemate Zach Parise.

"He is now 'pops' with Luke Kunin and [Joel] Eriksson Ek. So, he will be hearing a lot about that coming forward!"
