As he has said before, it's not fun to have to replace a teammate due to injury but Nico Hischier is making the most of his first NHL All-Star nod.
"Obviously, excited for sure," he said at the league's media day on Thursday evening. "You never want to see a teammate get hurt. But being here has been fun so far. I think it's going to be a fun weekend."

Hischier replaced Devils forward Kyle Palmieri as the team's lone representative at the 2020 NHL All-Star Weekend in St. Louis. He'll participate in the Skills Competition and All-Star Game on Friday and Saturday.
"To be here is something special and to represent Jersey means a lot, so it should be fun and I'm going to enjoy it for sure," he said.
