BLOG: Devils Headed to Worlds

With their NHL season over, several Devils players have committed to play for their respective home countries in the upcoming IIHF World Championship in Riga, Latvia. The international tournament will run from May 21 to June 6.
Devils who have confirmed that they will be playing are:
Nico Hischier - Switzerland
Jonas Siegenthaler - Switzerland
Yegor Sharangovich - Belarus
Kevin Bahl - Canada
Marian Studenic - Slovak Republic
Matt Tennyson - USA
Matthew Hellickson - USA

Due to injuries, rookie defensemen Ty Smith (shoulder, Canada) and Damon Severson (toe, Canada), forward Pavel Zacha (lower-body, Czech Republic) and goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood (back, Canada) will be unable to play. Forward Jesper Bratt (toe, Sweden) hasn't determined yet if he'll be healthy enough to participate.
