3/25 Pregame Notes: Devils vs. Hurricanes

Tonight is the fourth and final game between the Devils and Hurricanes this season. New Jersey has won each match-up against Carolina this season; 4-1 on Nov. 6, 3-2 SO on Nov. 8 and 3-1 on Jan. 3. The Devils have not swept the Hurricanes/Whalers franchise in a season-series since the 1991-92 season (3-0-0).

Tonight opens the Devils' 16th of 18 sets of back-to-back games this season. New Jersey is 5-6-4 in first games and is 7-5-3 in second games of back-to-back contests. The club is 10-11-3 vs. the Metropolitan Division and is 17-23-7 against Eastern Conference opponents. The Devils are 10-3-1 at Prudential Center and are 20-10-1 overall vs. the Hurricanes since the 2009-10 season.

Cory Schneider (1.81 GAA) and Keith Kinkaid (1.55 GAA) both have under a 2.00 goals-against average vs. Carolina in their careers.
