DEVILS VS. ISLANDERS
Tonight is the second of four games between the Devils and Islanders in 2016-17. New Jersey won the first game of this home-and-home set 3-2 last night at Prudential Center. The clubs will meet again on Mar. 31 at Barclays Center before wrapping up their season-series Apr. 8 at The Rock.
This is New Jersey's 13th of 18 sets of back-to-back games this season. The club is 4-5-4 in first contests and is 7-2-3 in second games on consecutive days.
The club is 8-5-2 vs. the Metropolitan Division and is 15-14-5 against Eastern Conference opponents. The Devils have not defeated the Isles on the road since Mar. 1, 2014 (0-3-2), but is 10-9-6 overall against them since the 2011-12 season.
Travis Zajac's has more points vs. the Islanders, 33pts (12g-21a), than any other opponent in his career.
Kyle Palmieri was born in Smithtown, NY…Keith Kinkaid hails from Farmingville, NY…P.A. Parenteau skated in 161 games for the Islanders from 2010-2012.
