LAST GAME: JAN. 22 - NEW JERSEY DEVILS 0 vs. DETROIT RED WINGS 3
The Devils lost, 3-0, in the third,and final game between the Eastern Conference clubs this season. The Devils finished the season series 2-1-0. They defeated Detroit in the first two games, Nov. 25 (4-3 Wo) at Little Caesars Arena, Dec. 27 (3-1 W), and Jan. 22 (3-0 L), at Prudential Center.
The Devils have never swept the Red Wings, 3-0-0 specifically, in a season series. The club is 3-3-2 vs. Detroit since the 2013-14 season. New Jersey is 13-8-5 (6-5-2 home) vs. the Eastern Conference and is 8-2-4 (4-2-2 home) against Atlantic Division opponents.

Cory Schneider started his first game since Jan. 13, missing two of the three due to illness. Schneider was peppered with shots throughout the game, stopping 27 out of 30 in his return to the crease.
Taylor Hall missed his third game of the season tonight with a hand injury, and is also will not accompany the club to Boston. Hall's career-high seven-game, points-streak from Jan. 2-20 (5G-7A-12PTS) was snapped. Also Jan. 16-Feb. 4, 2016 (2G-7A-9PTS) as an Edmonton Oiler. Four of the seven games included a multi-point effort from the All-Star. Taylor Hall leads all Devils with 4PTS (1G-3A) vs. Detroit this season.
Brian Gibbons (OT) and Nico Hischier had New Jersey's game-winners in NJD's two wins vs. Detroit this season.
The Devils out-shot the Red Wings, 37-30. The club was 0-5 on the power play and was 2-2 on the penalty-kill.

The Devils trail the Bruins, 0-0-1, thus far after losing, 2-3Ls, in the shootout on Nov. 11 at Prudential Center.
