Team Notes

• The Devils fell to 2-4 in the shootout. They're winless in three straight games (0-2-1) for the first time since Oct. 9-16 (0-3-1).

• New Jersey is 1-6-3 in Boston & is 3-11-4 vs. the Bruins overall since 2010-11.

• Tonight’s contest closed out the Devils’ fourth set of back-to-back games. They are now 1-2-1 in first games and 1-1-2 in second games when playing on consecutive dates.

• Despite the loss, New Jersey has points in seven of its last 10 games (4-3-3=11pts) and 10 of its last 15 (6-5-4=16pts).

• The Devils are 3-1-2=8pts in their last six road games and are 9-5-2=20pts away from Prudential Center overall.

• New Jersey is 6-1-3=15pts vs. the Atlantic Division this season, including 4-0-2=10pts on the road.

• The Devils PK unit was 1/1 tonight and is 10/11 (90.9%) over the past five games.

• Boston outshot New Jersey, 39-30.

Player Notes

Cory Schneider made a season-high 38 saves (+2/3 SO) but fell to 14-9-5 on the season. He's allowed two goals or less in 17 of his last 21 starts since Oct. 29.

Andy Greene scored his third goal at 1:51 of the second period to tie the game at 1-1. It was Greene's first goal since Nov. 22 at Vancouver (13 games). With 34 career goals/176 career points, Greene is now just two goals/points behind Ken Daneyko (36g/178pts) for sixth in team history. He saw a season-high 27:51 of time-on-ice tonight (previously, 27:24, Oct.13 vs. Nashville).

Lee Stempniak registered the primary assist on Greene's goal and has points in back-to-back games (2a) & 3g-5a-8pts over the last ten. He ranks second on the club with 8g-18a-26pts overall and needs just 2pts to match his total from all of last season (15g-13a-28pts in 71 games).

Adam Larsson also assisted on Greene's goal, his first point since Dec. 6 vs. Florida (six games).

Jiri Tlusty led the Devils with a career-high six shots on goal (tie, four times, last time Apr. 13, 2013 vs. Boston).

Travis Zajac was 12/22 (54.5%) in the faceoff circle.

John Moore led the Devils with a season-high four hits.

Patrik Elias was a healthy scratch. He had played in 13 straight since returning to the lineup on Nov. 25.
