Team Notes

• The Devils closed-out their three-game road trip with a mark of 0-2-1.

• New Jersey fell to 1-5 in the shootout, to 4-6-2 vs. the Metropolitan Division, to 8-11-2 on the road and to 11-15-6 overall.

• The Devils were 1/2 on the power play and are 6/14 (42.9%) over the last seven games.

• New Jersey was 3/3 on the penalty-kill tonight and is now 53/59 (89.8%) over the past 17 games.

Player Notes

• Long Island native Keith Kinkaid (31 saves + 3/5 SO) made his second NHL start and fell to 0-1-2 on the season.

Jaromir Jagr (2a) registered career assists 1,064 and 1,065, passing Steve Yzerman (1,063) for sole possession of seventh in NHL history. Adam Oates ranks sixth with 1,079. It was the team-leading sixth multi-point game of the season for Jagr, who has points in back-to-back games (3a) and 1g-4a-5pts over the last five. He leads the club 20 points (5g-15a).

Scott Gomez posted 1g-1a-2pts for his second multi-point game of the season. The assist was the 338th of his Devils career, moving him ahead of Scott Stevens (337) for sole possession of fourth on the franchise assist list. Gomez has points in three straight games (2g-2a-4pts) and 2g-4a-6pts over the last five.

Marek Zidlicky scored his fourth goal of the season, third on the power play. He added an assist for his fifth multi-point game. Zidlicky leads the Devils with nine points (3g-6a) on the power play and is third overall with 17 points (4g-13a).

Travis Zajac was activated from Injured Reserve and returned to the lineup after missing eight games (lower body/mumps).

Tim Sestito, who was recalled from Albany (AHL) earlier in the day, made his NHL season debut and first appearance with New Jersey since April 13 vs. Boston.
