1/15 Pregame Notes: Devils at Canucks

Tonight is the second and final game between the Devils and Canucks in 2016-17. New Jersey defeated Vancouver, 3-2, in their first match-up on Dec. 6 at Prudential Center. Ben Lovejoy scored the game-winning goal for New Jersey while Taylor Hall (1g-1a) and Kyle Quincey (2a) led the way with two points each.

The Devils are 4-3-2 vs. the Pacific Division and are 7-7-4 against the Western Conference this season. 

Cory Schneider is 3-1-2 with a .925 save% against his former team. Michael Cammalleri has seven points (4g-3a) over his last four games against Vancouver. Taylor Hall has scored 2g-4a-6pts in his last three games vs. the Canucks.

New Jersey is 1-1-1 at Rogers Arena and is 4-1-2 overall against the Canucks since the 2013-14 season. 


Cory Schneider was Vancouver's first choice, 26th overall, in the 2004 Entry Draft and played parts of five seasons with the Canucks from 2008-13. New Jersey traded the ninth overall selection in the 2013 Draft to acquire Schneider on Jun. 30, 2013. The Canucks used that pick to select Bo Horvat…John Moore and Derek Dorsett were teammates in both Columbus and with the NY Rangers; they were both acquired by NY in the trade that sent Marian Gaborik to the Blue Jackets…Brandon Sutter is the son of former Head Coach Brent Sutter.
