Team Notes

• New Jersey had its four-game road winning streak snapped.

• Despite the loss, the Devils have won six of their last eight (6-2-0) and have points in seven of their last nine games overall (6-2-1=13pts).

• Tonight's contest was the last of four consecutive games vs. divisional opponents. New Jersey is now 3-3-0 vs. the Metropolitan Division thus far (2-2-0 on the road).

• The Devils were 1/5 on the power play tonight and are 10/44 (22.7%) on the season overall; New York had successfully killed 29 straight power plays prior to Travis Zajac's third period goal.

Player Notes

Cory Schneider made his ninth consecutive start in goal (32 saves) and fell to 6-3-1 overall.

Travis Zajac scored his fifth goal of the season (fourth on the power play) and has 5g-3a-8pts over his last seven appearances. He's matched his PPG total from all of last season and is just two shy of his career high (6, 2009-10 & 2006-07).

Kyle Palmieri collected the primary assist on Zajac's goal and now has 2g-3a-5pts over the past four games. Palmieri leads New Jersey with 2g-4a-6pts on the power play. He also led the Devils with four hits tonight.

Eric Gelinas also assisted on Zajac's goal, his second in the past three games. Gelinas has 1g-2a-3pts on the season, all coming on the power play.

Brian O'Neill led the Devils with a career-high four shots on goal.

Adam Henrique led New Jersey in TOI with 22:46 and was 11/17 (64.7%) in face-offs.

Stephen Gionta appeared in his 200th NHL game.

Jiri Tlusty missed his second game due to an upper body injury.

Stefan Matteau was a healthy scratch for the fourth consecutive game.
