The Devils host the Anaheim Ducks tonight at Prudential Center for their first home game of the season. Here's what you need to know:
1) Waiver wire pick-up PA Parenteau presently leads the Devils with two points - a goal and an assist - after two games. With the offensive opportunities he was able to generate from the half wall on the power play, I'd expect to see him as a permanent fixture there.

2) Lines are not out yet, but don't be surprised if Reid Boucher is in for his first game of the season. Head coach John Hynes said yesterday that he had been practicing well and wanted to get him in a game. The same for Steve Santini, who also had a view from the press box for the first two games. We should have the Devils' lineup for you in the Morning Report after the Devils' pregame skate.
3) One team is going to get their first win of the season tonight. The Ducks have started the season on a five-game road trip and have lost to Dallas, Pittsburgh and, most recently, to the Islanders in overtime on Sunday. The Devils return from a two-game road trip with one out of a possible four points after losing to Florida in overtime and then in regulation to Tampa. No doubt both teams will be hungry for the win tonight.
Opening night festivities start at 3:30 p.m. with Fan Fest on Championship Plaza, highlighted by the Red Carpet Arrivals at 4 p.m. If you have tickets to the game, I suggest you be in your seats by 6:45 p.m. to see the entire pregame presentation. If you don't have tickets, what are you waiting for??
Devils All-Access has you covered all day heading into tonight's home opener. Join me and Matt Loughlin at 11 a.m. for the Morning Report on Facebook Live and then, at 12:30 p.m., check out our new pregame podcast, Devils Tailgate, with Dave Turner and Jeff O'Connor. Finally, Ken Daneyko and I will get you completely up to speed before the puck drops with the Pregame Show on Facebook Live at 6 p.m.
Until then!
