Team Notes

• New Jersey had its four-game winning streak/five-game point streak (4-0-1) snapped, falling to 1-3-1 at home and 4-4-1 overall.

• The Devils outshot the Blue Jackets 24-14; the 14 shots against were the fewest the team has allowed since April 20, 2013 (13, 6-2 win vs. Florida).

• New Jersey was 1/4 on the power play and has scored with the man-advantage in six of its nine games this season (7/31, 22.6%). The penalty-kill unit was 3/3.

• The Devils won a season-high 57.1 % (24/42) face-offs tonight.

Player Notes

Cory Schneider made his sixth consecutive start in goal (11 saves), had his four-game personal winning streak snapped and fell to 4-2-1 overall.

Kyle Palmieri scored for New Jersey, his second of the season, both of which have come on the power play. He has 1g-1a-2pts over the past three games.

Travis Zajac registered the primary assist, giving him 2g-3a-5pts over the past four games. He was also 9/13 (69.2%) in the face-off circle.

Jiri Tlusty also assisted on Palmieri's goal for his first point since October 10 at Washington (six games).

Damon Severson led New Jersey with a season-high four shots on goal.

Adam Henrique led the Devils in TOI with 22:59 & was a season-best 11/17 (64.7%) on faceoffs tonight.

Jon Merrill returned to the lineup for the first time since Oct. 16 vs. San Jose. He missed two games due to illness and was a healthy scratch for New Jersey's previous two contests.

Stefan Matteau was a healthy scratch; he had played in four straight coming into tonight.

Bobby Farnham, who was claimed off waivers from Pittsburgh yesterday, was also a healthy scratch.
