XTRA SPORTS 910 UP FOR RADIO AWARD

by Staff Writer / Arizona Coyotes
Organizers of the 2008 NAB Marconi Radio Awards recently announced that XTRA Sports 910 (KGME-AM), the new flagship station of the Coyotes, is one of five national finalists for Sports Station of the Year for the second year in a row.

"I'm thrilled to see the talent of our XTRA staff once again be recognized in this manner,” said Joe Puglise, the Clear Channel Radio Phoenix VP/Market Manager. “Two years in a row is quite an honor, though anyone familiar with the station's quality of work should not be surprised.”

The NAB Marconi Radio Awards were established in 1989 and named after inventor and Nobel Prize winner Guglielmo Marconi.  Winners will be announced at the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner and Show at the Austin Convention Center on Sept. 18.
