Coyotes forward Scottie Upshall underwent successful knee surgery on Tuesday in
Birmingham, Ala.

Upshall tore the ACL in his right knee during the game against Calgary on Jan. 28 and is out indefinitely. He is expected to return to the Valley shortly to begin the recovery process. Recovery from such knee surgery typically takes between four to six months.

Upshall, 26, notched 18 goals and 14 assists in 49 games for the Coyotes this season. His 18 goals represent his career-high for goals in a single season.
