Team Canada remained unbeaten in the 2007 Super Series with Russia after posting a 3-0 win on Wednesday morning.
Phoenix Coyotes prospect Kyle Turris
lead the way for the Canadians, scoring the first goal of the game (and eventual game-winner) at 14:42 of the opening period. With Team Canada working on the power play, forward David Perron (drafted by St. Louis in 2007), fed a pass to Turris in the slot, who then lifted a backhand shot past Russian netminder Sergei Bobrovsky and into the top of the net for a 1-0 lead.
With less than a minute to play in the second period, the Canadians extended their lead to 2-0 when Brandon Sutter (drafted by Carolina in 2007) connected with Columbus Blue Jackets prospect Stefan Legein, who beat Bobrovsky for his second goal of the tournament.
Perron completed the scoring at 18:01 of the third period by driving hard to the Russian net before sliding the puck into the goal to give Canada a 3-0 victory.NEXT GAME
