LAS VEGAS – The Coyotes are well represented here at the 2010 NHL Awards. Head Coach Dave Tippett, captain Shane Doan and goalie Ilya Bryzgalov all are finalists for trophies that will be handed out Wednesday night.

Tippett, who took over as head coach of the team just a week before the regular season started and then led it to a franchise record 107 points, is one of three finalists for the Jack Adams Award as the league’s top coach. Nashville’s Barry Trotz and Colorado’s Joe Sacco are the other finalists.

Doan, who notched 55 points and played all 82 regular-season games before getting injured in the playoffs, has been nominated for two leadership awards – the King Clancy Memorial Trophy and the Mark Messier Leadership Award. Buffalo’s Ryan Miller and Pittsburgh’s Sidney Crosby are the other finalists for the Messier Award.

Bryzgalov, who won a franchise record 42 games and posted eight shutouts, is one of three finalists for the Vezina Trophy. Buffalo’s Ryan Miller and New Jersey’s Martin Brodeur are the other finalists for the top goalie award.

Tippett, Doan and Bryzgalov arrived in Las Vegas on Tuesday and answered questions from reporters in a media-day setting.
