Information, observations and anecdotes about the Coyotes

as told by Dave Vest, the team's V.P. of News Content

Well, the Coyotes season is over and the players have packed their gear and have scattered for the next few months. I spoke to many of them this morning and I can tell you that based on what happened over the last few weeks of the season, all of them already are talking about next season.

I am writing this blog for two reasons. First, I want to thank all of you for reading past blogs of mine throughout the season. I enjoyed writing them and I hope they enhanced your Coyotes experience. I also thank all of you who wrote e-mails to me throughout the season. While I did not answer all of them, I assure you I read them all. So, please keep ‘em coming!

I also am writing this blog to encourage you to continue to visit throughout the off-season. Just because the season is over doesn’t mean our coverage of the team, its players and coaches, or the NHL will stop. Far from it.

Here is just a partial list of what is planning to monitor/cover this off-season:

• The NHL Draft Lottery
• The Stanley Cup Playoffs
• The IIHF World Championship
• The NHL Entry Draft
• The Free Agency Period
• The Coyotes Rookie Camp
• The 2009-10 Coyotes Training Camp

In addition, will continue to offer unique video features throughout the off-season. Starting later this week, for instance, we will be posting special ‘Yotes Quotes’ videos featuring many of the Coyotes players reflecting on the 2008-09 season and looking ahead to their off-seasons and the 2009-10 season.

Coyotes TV Play-By-Play Announcer Dave Strader is going to be hopping all over North America this week and next covering multiple first round series of the Stanley Cup Playoffs for Versus.

Here is Strades' hectic schedule:

Pittsburgh vs. Philadelphia: Games 1,2,4,5*,7*
Vancouver vs. St. Louis: Game 3
Columbus vs. Detroit: Game 5*
(*if necessary)

Thanks for reading.
