On Saturday, the 2007 IIHF World Championship’s continued with Team USA capturing their fourth win of tournament with a 3-0 shutout over Team Germany.

Coyotes’ defenseman Keith Ballard was kept off the score sheet and finished the evening with an even plus/minus rating, but hit physical presence was second to none.

Staying true to form, Ballard delivered a series of punishing open-ice hits during the game, keeping Germany from generating much in the way of offense.

In other action, Zbynek Michalek took three shots and finished with a -1 plus/minus as the Czech Republic dropped their second consecutive game in a 3-2 loss to Slovakia.

Phoenix forward Niko Kapanen had the best offensive game of the day, capturing two assists in Team Finland’s 3-0 win over Italy.

Team Switzerland topped Denmark by the score of 4-1.
