For Lauren Sutkowski, the memory of her first Coyotes game is still as sharp as ever, even though it was years ago now.

"I've been a Coyotes fan since I was little," she said. "My mom really got me into hockey and encouraged me to watch it with her as much as I could."

For her, the first game came against the New Jersey Devils in 2014.

For years, Bob Castillo tried to get his wife Erica to join him for a Coyotes game. 

"She was reluctant," Bob said with a laugh. "But once she did go with me, that was it. She knew." 

You could say that Erica is now a diehard fan. 

"The closer we get to retirement," Erica said, "we tell our financial advisor, 'There are two things that matter: Our season tickets and our RV.'"

It began on Social Media Night 2017, deep in the underground tunnels of Gila River Arena. 

Chelsea Faulds, a local Arizona singer scheduled to perform the national anthem before the Coyotes faced the Boston Bruins on Oct. 14, waited in the ref tunnel for her cue. Someone standing across the hall caught her eye.
