STREET COYOTES LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME SET FOR OCT. 22

Phoenix Coyotes President and Chief Operating Officer Douglas Moss announced that the Street Coyotes League Championship Game will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 22 at Tri-City West/Thornwood Branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix, located at 301 E. Western Ave. in Avondale.  The team from the Warner A. Gabel Branch will square off with the Tri-City West/ Thornwood Branch in the title game of the League’s inaugural season.

 
Coyotes forward Mathias Tjarnqvist and Howler be will at the game to meet fans, sign autographs and cheer on the teams.
 
The Street Coyotes League features teams from all 10 branches of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix.  Each team, which consisted of kids between the ages of 9 and 13, played four games prior to a round-robin playoff format. 
 
The Coyotes donated all the equipment used in the League through the NHL’s street hockey program.  Prior to the season, the Coyotes Hockey Development Team held clinics for each club. 
 
The League was split into an Eastern Conference and a Western Conference and consisted of the following teams:

Spencer D. & Mary Jane Stewart Branch
Harry & Sandy Rosenzweig Branch
I.G. Homes Branch

Louis & Elizabeth Sands Branch

Tri-City West Thornwood Branch
Jerry & Helen Wistosky Branch
Glendale Branch
