In his latest blog, Arizona Coyotes defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson writes about the team's hectic travel schedule, the city of Montreal and friend Stan Wilson

by Oliver Ekman-Larsson @OEL23 / Arizona Coyotes

WINNIPEG -- Today we headed back on the road for four more games here in Canada. We've been on the road a lot this season, but I kind of like it. All of this traveling around is harder for the guys who are married and have kids, but with me being single I like seeing the different cities and arenas and crowds. Hopefully we'll get to see some snow on this trip. If we do, I'm sure I'll appreciate getting back to Arizona after a while.

I think we've been playing better lately and we have to keep doing that and stay positive. We didn't win any of the games on the last trip, but we competed hard against Washington, Pittsburgh and St. Louis, and they are three very good teams. I think we did a lot of good things in those games, but at the same time we've had two or three breakdowns every single game and those are costing us wins. We talk about fixing this a lot, and I think if we can eliminate those breakdowns we should start winning more games.

Shots From The Point By OEL

In his first blog of the 2017-18 season, Coyotes defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson writes about having his brother Kevin at training camp

by Oliver Ekman-Larsson @OEL_23 / Arizona Coyotes

GLENDALE - Training camp has started and it's an exciting time for our team. There's a lot of new faces and I think everyone is excited to move forward. It's going to take time and effort to get to know everybody, but it will be a lot of fun at the same time.

One face that is new to almost everybody but me is my younger brother Kevin's. He's here at our camp getting ready to play for Tucson in the AHL season. He can't wait to get going and I'm excited for him. He worked so hard this summer to get into good shape and I'm really proud of him.

Our Team is Coming Together as a Group

Defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson blogs about the team's strong play lately

by Oliver Ekman-Larsson @OEL_23 / Arizona Coyotes

GLENDALE - We've got a few days off this week so it's a good time to write a new blog.

Our team has been playing a lot better the past few weeks and I think what it comes down to is working hard. If everybody keeps working hard I think the skills game is going to come, too. We probably should have more points, but we've been around the games more and we're really coming together as a group.

Beating Sharks Twice Has Raised Team's Confidence

Defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson blogs about two wins over San Jose and more

by Oliver Ekman-Larsson @OEL_23 / Arizona Coyotes

GLENDALE - We have a couple of home games this week on the night before and the night after Thanksgiving. We're hoping to build off our win over San Jose on Saturday. We've beaten the Sharks two times this season and those wins have helped us build confidence. San Jose is a really great team and they have a lot of great players. Beating them twice is a big step in the right direction for us. At the same time we recognize that we have to play more games like those games, and we know it won't be easy. We haven't played consistent enough to get a lot of points this season and we have to find a way to do that.

Excited To Start The Season

Defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson blogs about the buzz surrounding the Coyotes

by Oliver Ekman-Larsson @OEL_23 / Arizona Coyotes

GLENDALE - First of all, I'm super excited to be back in Arizona and getting ready to start the new season. It's great just to be back in the room talking and joking and trash talking a little bit with the boys. That's what I miss the most in the offseason.
