Several Coyotes to Play in 2013 IIHF World Championship

GLENDALE – The Coyotes may be done playing the 2012-13 NHL season, but several players aren’t quite ready to hang up their skates for the summer just yet.

As of today, seven players are confirmed participants in the upcoming 2013 International Ice Hockey Federation’s World Championship tournament, which runs from May 3-19 in Stockholm, Sweden and Helsinki, Finland.

They are (in alphabetical order):

Mikkel Boedker (Denmark)

Martin Hanzal (Czech Republic)

Lauri Korpikoski (Finland)

Zbynek Michalek (Czech Republic)

David Moss (United States)

Mike Smith (Canada)

Radim Vrbata (Czech Republic)

In addition, Coyotes Head Coach Dave Tippett is serving as an assistant coach for Canada.
