SENTINELS OF FREEDOM: A VERY SPECIAL CEREMONIAL PUCK DROP

by Staff Writer / Arizona Coyotes
Dean Selvey, Ryan & Kelly Job and Howard Lein
Navy Seal, SO2, Ryan Job was deployed to Iraq where he was shot in the face during combat.  As a result, Ryan lost sight in both eyes, but didn't lose his optimistic spirit.  Rather than return to his home in San Diego, where his options were limited, he instead applied to and qualified for a 4 year scholarship.

As a recipient of a Sentinels of Freedom Scholarship, Ryan will receive "rent free" housing, new furniture and other household supplies, educational opportunities, financial and personal mentoring and career-placement assistance and training.

On June 25, 2007, Ryan and his wife Kelly moved to Arizona and took up residence in a beautiful new condominium in North Scottsdale provided by their Team Leader Howard Lein, Owner of RE/MAX Excalibur Realty and other local residents.

The Phoenix Coyotes Hockey Club were thrilled to have Ryan start off our season with a ceremonial puck drop at center ice!
