GLENDALE -- It's the Coyotes rookies vs. the LA Kings rookies tonight at 6 p.m. at Gila River Arena. Admission to the arena is free.
"It's really exciting," said forward Max Domi, who notched three assists in the Rookie Camp scrimmage on Tuesday. "We've been battling each other for the past few days (at Rookie Camp) and that's a little different. You can't really emulate a real game. Intrasquad games are fun but obviously you're playing against your teammates and you're not trying to hit your teammates. Tonight's a whole different story. We're playing against the LA Kings. It will be fun."
Forward Greg Carey, who scored two goals in the Rookie Camp scrimmage on Tuesday, agreed.
"It's going to be a fast game and guys are going to be skating hard," Carey said. "A lot of us just learned the structure (this weekend) so hopefully we can stay within that, but I expect this game to be very exciting with a lot of body contact and a lot of guys moving their feet trying to make plays and stand out."
Parking for this game is in Lot G for $15. The lot opens at 4 p.m. Hockey spaces are available until 6:30 p.m. If you are coming to the game allow extra travel time because there is also a One Direction concert at the football stadium next door to the arena.
Tonight's game will be streamed online starting at 6 p.m. at arizonacoyotes.com.
The Coyotes rookies and the Kings rookies will play a second game on Wednesday at Gila River Arena at 2 p.m.
