WHERE: PNC Arena | WHEN: 11 a.m. (AZ time) | TV:FOX Sports Arizona | RADIO:ESPN 620 AM

ABOUT THE 'YOTES:
• The Coyotes will enter Sunday's matinee looking to sweep a two-game season series from Carolina for the first time since 1999-2000. Arizona beat the Hurricanes, 4-3 in overtime, on Nov. 2 at Gila River Arena.
• Adin Hill, who stopped 27 of 30 shots in Arizona's 4-3 overtime win at the New York Rangers on Friday, will start in goal. Hill is 5-2-0 with a 1.81 goals-against average and a .932 save percentage in eight appearances this season, including six starts. Moreover, he's a perfect 4-0-0 on the road this season and has stopped 86 of 90 shots in games played away from Glendale. That's a .956 save percentage.
Alex Galchenyuk, who has missed the past three games because of a lower-body injury, may be back in the lineup vs. Carolina. The Coyotes did not practice on Saturday, but Head Coach Rick Tocchet on Sunday morning said Galchenyuk would be a game-time decision.

• Nick Schmaltz has tallied at least one point in six of nine games since coming to the Coyotes in a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks on Nov. 25. Schmaltz chipped in two assists in Friday's win to become just the 10th player from the 2014 NHL Draft class to reach 100 points in his NHL career. Chicago drafted him 20th overall.
• After starting the season with zero points in his first nine games, Josh Archibald has produced seven points (three goals, four assists) in his past nine games.
Oliver Ekman-Larsson is closing in on a noteworthy record. He needs just four more points to tie Keith Yandle for most points by a defenseman (311) in Coyotes history.
• How's this for symmetry? Arizona leads the NHL in fewest power-play goals allowed (11) and most shorthanded goals scored (11).
ABOUT THE HURRICANES:
• Carolina is 1-4-1 in December and ranks 13th in the Eastern Conference with 31 points ... The Hurricanes lead the NHL in shots on goal per game with 37.8 ... Sebastian Aho, who notched four points in a shootout loss to Washington on Friday, will enter the game with a four-game point streak. He leads the Hurricanes in goals (11), assists (22) and points (33) ... Dougie Hamilton ranks second among NHL defensemen with 108 shots but has scored just three goals ... Curtis McElhinney places sixth among NHL goalies in goals-against average (2.36) among those who have played at least 10 games ... Jordan Martinook, who played the first 247 games of his NHL career for the Coyotes, has produced eight goals and three assists in his first 31 games with the Hurricanes.
