Coyotes Announce 2017-18 Theme Nights & Single Game Ticket Promotions

GLENDALE ARIZONA --- The Arizona Coyotes announced today the team's theme nights and single game ticket promotions for the 2017-18 NHL season. In total, the Coyotes will have 12 theme nights this season that include several great promotional items that will be given away to fans at Gila River Arena.

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - The Arizona Coyotes announced today that single game tickets for the team's two preseason home games and the first half of regular season home games for 2017-18 will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, Aug. 17 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets for all remaining home games from Jan. 12 through Apr. 7 will go on sale at a later date. 

Pricing for Coyotes single game tickets for the 2017-18 season starts at just $26 per game and complete ticket pricing information for all single game tickets and savings on groups of 10 or more is available at www.ArizonaCoyotes.com.

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Chayka announced today that Coyotes defenseman Jakob Chychrun underwent successful knee surgery today to repair a knee injury that he suffered this week during offseason training. Chychrun is expected to make a full recovery but will be out indefinitely. The Coyotes will provide a further update once training camp begins on September 14.

Chychrun totaled 7-13-20 with 47 penalty minutes (PIM) in 68 games as a rookie with the Coyotes in 2016-17. He was originally drafted by Arizona in the first round (16th overall) in the 2016 Entry Draft.

Coyotes Unveil New DEK Hockey Rink at YMCA El Mirage

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- The Arizona Coyotes unveiled a new outdoor DEK hockey rink at the YMCA in El Mirage, Arizona today. The total cost of the project was $250,000. The Coyotes, along with the NHL and the NHLPA launched an initiative last April to build several new DEK hockey rinks around the Valley and state.

"We're thrilled to unveil another new DEK hockey rink in the Valley," said Coyotes' Owner, Chairman and Governor Andrew Barroway. "The Coyotes are committed to the Valley and to growing the great game of hockey in our state. We are excited to partner with our great friends at the YMCA and the City of El Mirage and hope that the kids enjoy playing DEK hockey on this great rink throughout their lives."

Coyotes Announce Affiliation Agreement with Fort Wayne of ECHL

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have signed a one-year affiliation agreement with the Fort Wayne Komets of the ECHL.

"We are excited to partner with the Fort Wayne Komets as our new ECHL affiliate," said Chayka. "The Komets are a first class organization with a very passionate fan base. We look forward to a great partnership."

Fort Wayne is entering its sixth season in the ECHL and plays its home games at the Allen County War Memorial in Fort Wayne, IN. The Komets are one of 28 teams that compete in the ECHL and play in the Central Division of the Western Conference. The franchise was founded in 1952 and have claimed nine championships in the IHL, UHL and CHL. The Komets have made the ECHL playoffs in four of the five seasons since joining the League.

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have signed John MacLean and Scott Allen to multi-year contracts to serve as assistant coaches on Head Coach Rick Tocchet's staff. As per club policy, terms of the contracts were not disclosed. MacLean and Allen will work alongside Goaltending Coach Jon Elkin and Video Coach Steve Peters.

"We are very pleased to have John and Scott join the Coyotes organization," said Chayka. "Both individuals bring a wealth of hockey knowledge and coaching experience to our team and we are confident that they will be great additions to Head Coach Rick Tocchet's staff."

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have signed goaltender Marek Langhamer to a one-year, two-way contract. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

The 23-year-old Langhamer stopped seven of eight shots in one game with the Coyotes last season. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound netminder also posted an 8-11-2 record with a .902 save percentage (SV%) and 3.36 goals against average (GAA) in 25 games with Tucson (AHL) and registered a 5-2-0 mark with a .913 SV% and a 2.72 GAA in seven games with Rapid City (ECHL) in 2016-17.

The Moravska Trebova, Czech Republic native was drafted by the Coyotes in the seventh round (184th overall) in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have signed center Tyler Gaudet to a one-year, two-way contract. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

The 24-year-old Gaudet registered 0-1-1 in four games with the Coyotes and totaled 6-16-22 in 62 games with Tucson (AHL) last season. The Hamilton, Ont. native has recorded 1-3-4 in 20 career NHL games with the Coyotes and has collected 18-37-55 in 179 career AHL games with Tucson, Springfield and Portland.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Gaudet was signed as a free agent on November 4, 2013.

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes will participate in a rookie tournament hosted by the San Jose Sharks from September 9 - 12. Arizona will play three games during the tournament including at Anaheim on Sept. 9, vs. Colorado on Sept. 11 and at San Jose on Sept. 12. All games will be held at Solar 4 America Ice at San Jose.

The Coyotes rookie roster will include first round draft choices P.O. Joseph (2017), Clayton Keller (2016), Dylan Strome (2015) and Nick Merkley (2015). In addition, prospects including Christian Fischer, Ryan MacInnis, Conor Garland, Kyle Wood, Kyle Capobianco, Cam Dineen and Adin Hill will participate.
