GLENDALE, ARIZONA – Phoenix Coyotes President and Chief Operating Officer Douglas Moss announced today that XTRA Sports 910 AM will serve as the flagship station of the Coyotes Radio Network for the second consecutive season.

"We are pleased to partner with XTRA Sports 910 for another season," said Moss. "Last season, our first with XTRA, was very successful and we’re excited to once again have Bob Heethuis, Tyson Nash, Todd Walsh and Luke Lapinski bring the excitement of Coyotes hockey to our fans."

Bob Heethuis, who returns for his 12th season as a member of the Coyotes’ radio team and his fifth as play-by-play announcer, will call all 82 regular season games. Heethuis will be joined in the broadcast booth by second-year color analyst and former Coyotes forward Tyson Nash during the 32 non-televised games.

“We are pleased the Coyotes will be returning to XTRA Sports 910 for the second consecutive season,” said Smokey Rivers, Director of Programming and Operations for ClearChannel/Phoenix. “We are looking forward to calling all the exciting action in 2009-10. Let’s play hockey!”

In addition to coverage of Coyotes games, XTRA Sports 910 will continue to air the Coyotes Tonight pregame show, the Heritage Graphics Intermission Report and the Coyotes Wrap-Up postgame show, hosted by Luke Lapinski, who enters his second season as a Coyotes radio host. Todd Walsh also returns as a reporter and co-host of Coyotes Tonight.

Like last season, 1510AM KFNN Financial Newsradio will be the alternative radio station, carrying all games when there is a scheduling conflict.

The Coyotes open the 2009-10 regular season tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. when they travel to Los Angeles to face the Kings. XTRA Sports 910’s coverage of the game will begin at 7 p.m. The first edition of the weekly magazine show, Coyotes Weekly hosted by Lapinkski, will air Friday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. The show will continue to air each Friday at 7 p.m. throughout the season.
