GLENDALE, ARIZ. --- Phoenix Coyotes President and Chief Operating Officer Douglas Moss today announced that PGA Tour golfer Jeff Quinney will drop the ceremonial first puck Friday, Feb. 22 at the Coyotes home game against the Colorado Avalanche.
Quinney will also sign autographs for fans on the south concourse of Jobing.com Arena during the first intermission of Friday’s game.
The Coyotes and Swift Transportation Co. agreed to a one-year sponsorship deal with Quinney in January.
Quinney finished in second place Feb. 17 at the Northern Trust Open in Pacific Palisades, Calif. Quinney (-10) finished two strokes behind winner Phil Mickelson, his best finish of his PGA career.
Quinney, a graduate of Arizona State University, has competed in 51 career PGA events and has five Top10 finishes to his credit. In 2007, Quinney recorded over $1.5 million in earnings during his rookie campaign and has posted four consecutive Top 10 finishes last year, including a 3rd place finish at the 2007 FBR Open in Scottsdale.
