Phoenix Coyotes and FSN Arizona television analyst Darren Pang has been named by the NHL Radio Network to call the Western Conference Finals. The 2006-07 season was Pang’s second as the analyst for the Coyotes. The last 12 seasons, Pang worked on network broadcasts of the NHL.
The Western Conference finals start tonight, Friday, May 11th, when the top-seeded Detroit Red Wings host the second-seeded Anaheim Ducks. The broadcasts will be heard on radio stations across the US, Canada and via the Armed Forces Radio Network, XM Satellite Radio, Sirius Satellite and the NHL Radio Network via Westwood One.
Pang has enhanced Coyotes broadcasts on FSN Arizona this past season with his unique style and enthusiasm, and is one of the most recognizable broadcast faces in hockey.
Pang’s broadcast partner in the Western Conference Finals will be Dave Strader, the play-by-play announcer for the Florida Panthers.
