The National Hockey League announced Monday that the Players' Association tentatively agreed on the Return to Play Plan and also agreed to an extension of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The announcement includes three key dates:

The tentative agreement is subject to further approval by the NHL's Board of Governors, the NHLPA's Executive Board, and the NHLPA as a whole. The Players' Union is expected to vote within the next few days.

If the plan is ratified, Coyotes formal training camp (Phase 3) will open at Gila River Arena one week from today. Players already have skated in small groups, when Phase 2 began June 11. Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Taylor Hall, Niklas Hjalmarsson, Phil Kessel, Conor Garland, Darcy Kuemper, Clayton Keller, Jason Demers and Barrett Hayton are among the many Coyotes players training in informal small-group settings.

The Coyotes are scheduled to play the Nashville Predators in the Qualifying Round. Hub cities will be announced soon. The leading candidates are Edmonton, AB and Toronto, ON.
