GLENDALE – Approximately 1,200 fans made their way to Jobing.com Arena on Saturday to watch the Coyotes practice for the first time at the team’s 2010-11 training camp.

Some of the attendees also watched and listened to Chief Operating Officer Mike Nealy and General Manager Don Maloney answer questions in a 'Town Hall Meeting' setting.

Nealy answered mostly business-oriented questions while Maloney, who received a standing ovation when introduced inside the arena’s Club South, answered hockey-related questions.

"Last year I was cautiously optimistic (when training camp started) and this year I am excited,” said Maloney, who won the NHL’s inaugural General Manager of the Year Award last season.

One fan asked Nealy to update the ongoing ownership situation. Nealy replied that a potential new owner is negotiating with the City of Glendale and “has stepped up and put some money on the table.” He called it "a huge step."
