Well, first of all, I'm sorry guys that it has been so long since my last blog. I hope you all had a great holiday, and have started off 2009 on a good note.
I had a great holiday! I was lucky to have my parents in town for Christmas and New Years, as well as my girlfriend and a couple really good buddies from Wisconsin for the past couple of weeks.
The last couple of games have been really exciting also. The 3-2 win over Tampa Bay was an important one for us because we had lost the previous couple of games and we needed that one to get us back on track. Saturday night's win over Dallas was a very exciting game. After no goals were scored the shootout came around, and I was chosen to shoot. I love seeing and taking part in shootouts. It's one of my favorite parts of the game. I think it's so exciting to see the different moves players can pull out and the creativity in different scoring moves. When it was my turn, I was a little bit nervous at first, but once I got to center ice I knew which move I was going to do and I was lucky enough that it went in! I was so excited and skated straight to the bench and into a team full of face washes. It was a great feeling.

Now we are on a big road trip that I've been looking forward to for a long time. We're playing in Minnesota and Vancouver, two of my favorite places in the league. I can't wait. All of my friends and family will be at the game in Vancouver and a bunch of friends will be at the game in Minnesota. I will let you know how the road trip goes as soon as we get back to the Valley.
Until next time.
