HOWLER PARTICIPATES IN KIDS FIRST HOCKEY PROGRAM
GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Newly introduced Phoenix Coyotes mascot Howler is appearing at a series of instructional seminars with young people who are eager to learn how to skate and play hockey. The loveable critter who has been seen at Coyotes home games over the past two months will assist kids at skating classes at Desert Schools Coyotes Centers and at the Alltel Ice Den. Coyotes' Senior Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer, Michael Bucek, is excited about the prospect of having Howler appear at the upcoming seminars.
"The Coyotes are pleased to have Howler on our team," said Bucek. "He'll be very visible in Glendale Arena and out in the community as the Coyotes expand our community relations and fan development initiatives. Our aim is to have Howler meet as many kids in Arizona as possible, and taking part in this program is in keeping with this goal."
Howler is skating alongside local children as part of the Kids First Hockey Program, a free on-ice youth hockey program hosted in cooperation with the Phoenix Coyotes and sponsored by Bauer/Nike. Over the next six weeks, he will be appearing at Desert Schools Coyotes Center venues in Chandler and Peoria, as well as at the Alltel Ice Den in Scottsdale. The dates for his appearances are listed below:
