With the unbridled energy of a three-year-old – or 21 in dog years – Howler celebrated his birthday on Sunday in typical fur-flying fashion. Joined by his mascot brethren and his most loyal fans, Howler held his annual Kid’s Club Birthday Bash outside Arena in honor of his third season as ambassador of Coyotes hockey and all things fun.

Not one to make a subtle entrance, the festivities fired up as Howler and his furry friends – including the Phoenix Suns Gorilla, Baxter from the Arizona Diamondbacks and Big Red from the Arizona Cardinals – arrived at the party in all-terrain vehicles provided by RideNow Powersports. With live music filling the air from the band “Gooder,” Howler shared his big day with all in attendance as the crowd quickly devoured a one-of-a-kind Howler-shaped birthday cake and honored the desert dog himself with a “howling” rendition of the happy birthday song.

The party moved inside as Howler and his furry friends took to the ice during the first intermission for a game of mascot hockey. Inspired by the Coyotes’ rally from an early 2-0 deficit vs. the San Jose Sharks, Howler scored early and often, showing off what he learned from watching his favorite hockey team. A dance-off highlighted the second intermission followed by another birthday cake – though this one fell prey to a bit of mischief as the other mascots conspired to help Howler blow out his candles with a fire extinguisher.

While his fourth birthday bash is far off on the horizon, plenty of additional Howler happenings are scheduled for the upcoming months. Fans can find out about other Howler’s Kids Club events and Howler appearances by visiting
