Fans in attendance at Thursday evening's Opening Night contest between the Phoenix Coyotes and the St. Louis Blues had the opportunity to check out some of the rich history of the National Hockey league - up close and personal.
The Hockey Hall of Fame "Legends Exhibit" was on display at Jobing.com Arena on Thursday night, with over 70 items normally housed at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto, Ontario.
Among the collection on display were items such as game sticks from former NHL legends: Phil Espositio, Eddie Shore, Bobby Orr, Bobby Hull, Gordie Howe, Maurice Richard, Rod Gilbert and Johnny Bower.
In addition there were also be two exhibits dedicated to Coyotes' Head Coach Wayne Gretzky featuring jerseys, equipment, trophies as well as an exhibit on NHL Expansion in the 1960's and 70's and the following expansion in the 1990's.
