Guest from HopeKids Enjoys Day at Coyotes Practice

GLENDALE – Just before the 2013-14 season ended, the Coyotes invited a special guest from HopeKids Arizona to serve as the honorary equipment manager at a team practice inside Arena.

As part of his day at the rink, the Coyotes presented Brett Aldridge, 13, with a sweater signed by team members and a hockey stick signed by Keith Yandle – his favorite player.

Brett also met some of the team’s owners, coaches and players, and posed with them in an official team photo before the practice started.

Brett’s special outing – which his family kept secret from him until the last minute – also included a tour of the equipment room and the locker room, where he spent time chatting one-on-one with Yandle.

"It’s a major event for him that he will not forget," said Shannon Aldridge, Brett’s mother. "For us, it means the world."
