SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA -Arizona Coyotes General Manager Bill Armstrong announced today that Coyotes forward Dylan Guenther has been loaned to Team Canada for the 2023 World Junior Championship. The tournament will take place in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Moncton, New Brunswick from Dec. 26, 2022- Jan. 5, 2023.

The 19-year-old Guenther has registered 3-8-11 and eight penalty minutes (PIM) in 21 games with the Coyotes this season. Guenther currently ranks sixth on the team in scoring and is tied for the most power-play goals (3) among all rookie skaters.
The 6-foot-2, 181-pound native of Edmonton, AB played in two games and collected two assists in last year's World Junior Championship for Team Canada before the tournament was cancelled due to multiple COVID-19 outbreaks.
Guenther was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the first round (9th overall) in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.
