GLENDALE -- The Coyotes will play their third preseason game overall and their first at Gila River Arena on Saturday night. The puck drops at 6 p.m. Arizona time.

Fans can listen to the Coyotes Radio broadcast of the game on KTAR News 92.3 FM.

Arizona has posted a 1-1-0 record thus far in the preseason.

"It's nice to win (preseason games) and competition is great, but I'm just looking for guys with hockey IQ who don't drop off," Head Coach Rick Tocchet said. "I'm looking for guys who can maintain consistency (throughout the game). That's what I look for in exhibition games because it's going to get faster in the regular season and it's going to get way faster at the next level after that."

Newcomer Antti Raanta is expected to start in goal for Arizona and play the first two periods. Marek Langhamer likely will take over to start the third period regardless of the score.

Other newcomers who are expected to play their first preseason game with the Coyotes include forward Derek Stepan and defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson.

"It's been a great start," said Hjalmarsson, who is skating in his first training camp with the Coyotes after a trade with Chicago in June. "Everybody in the organization has been super friendly and helpful. All the guys on the team have been really welcoming so far so it's been fun."

Stepan became a father for a second time this weekend when his wife, Stephanie, gave birth to a daughter. The Stepans have a two-year-old son, too.

Here's Arizona's roster for Saturday's game (subject to change):

FORWARDS: Nick Cousins, Max Domi, Christian Dvorak, Christian Fischer, Conor Garland, Clayton Keller, Michael Latta, Jens Looke, Brendan Perlini, Brad Richardson, Derek Stepan, Dylan Strome.

DEFENSEMEN: Kevin Connauton, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Alex Goligoski, Niklas Hjalmarsson, Luke Schenn, Jalen Smereck.

GOALIES: Marek Langhamer, Antti Raanta

Before the game begins, the Coyotes will host a "Town Hall" meeting from 4-5 p.m. at the Renaissance Glendale Hotel and Spa (next to Gila River Arena). Team executives Andrew Barroway, Steve Patterson and John Chayka will attend and answer questions from fans during this time.
