GLENDALE, ARIZONA -- Phoenix Coyotes President and Chief Operating Officer Douglas Moss announced today that the Coyotes’ opening game of their first round playoff series versus the Detroit Red Wings will be televised live on 3 TV (KTVK) at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Apr. 14. All of the game coverage will be produced by FOX Sports Arizona.

“Following a tremendously successful regular season, we felt that it was very important to broadcast the first-ever playoff WhiteOut at Arena to as wide an audience as possible in order to reward our wonderfully supportive fans throughout the state of Arizona,” said Moss. “We would like to thank our partners at FOX Sports Arizona and KTVK for helping to make this a reality.”

“I want to thank the Phoenix Coyotes and KTVK for helping us make this important game available to more fans across the state of Arizona,” said Mike Connelly, FOX Sports Arizona Senior Vice President & General Manager. “I know fans will appreciate the local telecast done by our production team that has been with the Coyotes every step of the way during this amazing season.”

The Coyotes’ television broadcasting team of play-by-play announcer Dave Strader, color analyst Tyson Nash and host/reporter Todd Walsh will bring Coyotes fans all the action.

FOX Sports Arizona will televise Game 2 of the series on Friday, April 16. The pre-game show begins the coverage at 6:30 p.m. The network will also televise Game 4 on Tuesday, April 20, at 3:30 p.m. If necessary, FOX Sports Arizona will also televise Game 5 and Game 7.

The following is the complete Coyotes playoff schedule for round one of the Western Conference Quarterfinal series:

GAME 1: Wednesday, April 14: Detroit at Phoenix, 7 p.m. on 3TV/VERSUS/TSN
GAME 2: Friday, April 16: Detroit at Phoenix, 7 p.m. on Fox Sports AZ/VERSUS/TSN
GAME 3: Sunday, April 18: Phoenix at Detroit, Noon on NBC/TSN
GAME 4: Tuesday, April 20: Phoenix at Detroit, 3:30 p.m. on Fox Sports AZ/TSN
*GAME 5: Friday, April 23: Detroit at Phoenix, 7 p.m. on Fox Sports AZ/VERSUS/TSN
