by Staff Writer / Arizona Coyotes
Howler celebrated his First Birthday and Kids Opening Night on Saturday, October 7th.

Members of Howler's Kids Club were invited to attend the Coyotes/Ducks game at Glendale Arena early and enjoy a pre-game party for Howler with cake, face painting, inflatables and photos with Howler.

Kids Club Members were also a part of the game by being a Junior PA Announcer, a Junior Camera Operator, a Junior In-Arena Host, a Junior DJ, Junior Radio and Television Broadcasters and a Junior Mascot Wrangler.

Two young special guests got things started at the beginning of the game. Tiffany Martin, the newly crowned Miss Arizona Teen USA 2007, was on hand to drop the puck. Martin is a 17-year-old Senior at Thunderbird High School. The National Anthem was sung by 10-year-old Maxx Carlisle-King of Phoenix, who just won an AriZoni Award, for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical, for his portrayal of Young Tommy in TOMMY.

There were numerous events throughout the evening for all kids at the game and to help celebrate Howler's birthday. There was a Howler Poster giveaway for the first 3,500 kids under age 14 at the doors on ingress courtesy of ADHS. An oversized birthday card was on the concourse for kids to sign during the game and fans sangg Happy Birthday to Howler during the game as well.
