Ekman-Larsson Selected to Represent Coyotes at 2015 Honda NHL All-Star Game

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- The National Hockey League announced today that Coyotes defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson has been selected to represent the Coyotes at the 2015 Honda NHL All-Star Game, which takes place at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio on Sunday, January 25.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Ekman-Larsson has recorded 11-8-19 in 40 games this season. Ekman-Larsson's 11 goals are tied for the NHL lead amongst all defensemen. The Karlskrona, Sweden native also leads all League defensemen in power-play goals with eight and is first in the NHL with six game-winning goals this season.

The 23-year-old has registered 43-87-130 in 298 career games with the Coyotes. Ekman-Larsson represented Sweden and won a silver medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia where he recorded three assists in six games.

This will be Ekman-Larsson's first career appearance at an NHL All-Star Game. Ekman-Larsson previously participated in the 2011 Young Stars Game in Carolina. He will be the 42nd All-Star in franchise history.
