"This is a first for me and so far it's been a lot of fun," Ekman-Larsson said of his experience thus far. "I'm really looking forward to playing in the game on Sunday."
Reporters asked Ekman-Larsson questions on a wide variety of topics such as his play in the first half of the season, if he has any playful bets with other All-Stars and what he thinks of Max Domi and other prospects in Arizona’s system. He also was asked to comment on what it’s like to play against some of the All-Stars who were seated just a few feet away.
"I don't mind questions about the other players," Ekman-Larsson said. "I would rather talk about the other players than myself."
At one point a reporter asked him if he had a favorite All-Star Game moment from past years.
"I watched a lot of the Swedish players when I was growing up but I don’t really have a favorite moment," Ekman-Larsson said. "I’ve been watching the All-Star Games for so many years; it’s a huge thing back home in Sweden. Everybody is getting excited for it… My friends and family are really happy for me and super excited so I’m just going to try to do my best not to disappoint them."

NHL All-Star Games typically are high-scoring games with minimal defense. Asked if he was OK with that as a defenseman, Ekman-Larsson said he was, as long as he could get in on the goal scoring.
"I wouldn’t mind scoring a goal," he said with a smile, "but even if I do I’m probably going to end up being a minus."
After fielding questions, Ekman-Larsson served as a guest on SiriusXM Radio's live broadcast from Media Day.
And last but not least, he answered some questions from Coyotes fans on the team's official Twitter account.
When asked by a fan which team - Team Foligno or Team Toews - he was hoping to play for on Sunday, Ekman-Larsson replied: "It doesn’t really matter to me as long as I don’t get picked last in the draft tonight."
The 2015 NHL All-Star Game will be played Sunday at 3 p.m. (Arizona time). The game can be seen on NBC Sports Network.
