GLENDALE -- Coyotes prospect Christian Dvorak and his teammates with the London Knights are eager to begin the 2016 Mastercard Memorial Cup on Friday.

That's because London will enter the prestigious four-team junior hockey tournament in Red Deer, Alberta, seemingly on a mission with a remarkable 33-5 record in its past 38 games, including 13 straight wins and a 16-2 playoff mark.

Dvorak scored the decisive goal on May 11 as London defeated the Niagara IceDogs, 1-0, to win the Ontario Hockey League’s best-of-seven championship series four games to none.

"We have one more goal left -- to win the Memorial Cup -- so we're definitely excited for the opportunity," Dvorak said (see below).

The Coyotes selected Dvorak with the 58th overall pick at the 2014 NHL Draft. In 18 playoff games this season, he and linemates Mitch Marner and Matthew Tkachuk have combined to notch 50 goals and 119 points. Dvorak has 14 goals and 21 assists.

The 2016 Mastercard Memorial Cup pits host Red Deer vs. the champs from the OHL (London), the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (Rouyn-Noranda) and the Western Hockey League (Brandon).
