GLENDALE, ARIZONA
--- The Phoenix Coyotes today announced that Coyotes captain Shane Doan will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the Tuesday, Mar. 24 Spring Training baseball game between the Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Dodgers at the Camelback Ranch – Glendale. The game time is set for 7:05 p.m.

Doan was named the NHL’s Third Star of the Week today after recording seven points on three goals and four assists last week as the Coyotes earned five of a possible eight points, posting a 2-1-1 record in four games.

Earlier this season, Doan became the Coyotes/Jets franchise’s all-time leader in game-winning goals (44) and moved into second place on the club’s all-time games played list (956). He also ranks fourth in franchise history in goals (255), assists (359) and points (614) and has joined Dale Hawerchuk and Keith Tkachuk as the only players in club history to record nine consecutive 20-goal campaigns. In January, Doan played in his second career NHL All-Star Game in Montreal, where he recorded a goal and an assist.
