COYOTES AND FSN ARIZONA ANALYST DARREN PANG
TO CALL WESTERN CONFERENCE FINALS
FOR NHL RADIO AND TSN
Phoenix Coyotes and FSN Arizona television analyst Darren Pang has been named by the NHL Radio Network to call the Western Conference Finals. He will also provide reports for TSN, Canada's Sports Leader for television. The 2005-06 season was Pang's first as the analyst for the Coyotes. The last 12 seasons, Pang worked on network broadcasts of the NHL.
The Western Conference finals start Friday, May 19 when the sixth-seeded Anaheim Mighty Ducks host the eighth-seeded Edmonton Oilers. The broadcasts will be heard on radio stations across the US, Canada and via the Armed Forces Radio Network, XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite.
Pang enhanced Coyotes broadcasts on FSN Arizona this past season with his unique style and enthusiasm. FSN Arizona and the Coyotes are entering their tenth year of partnership where Pang, one of the most recognizable broadcast faces in hockey, is teamed with long-time Coyotes play-by-play announcer Curt Keilback.
Pang's broadcast partners in the Western Conference Finals will be Dave Strader, the play-by-play announcer for the Florida Panthers, and Ralph Strangis, the play-by-play announcer for the Dallas Stars.
