GLENDALE, ARIZONA ---The Arizona Coyotes announced today that the franchise now owns the seventh overall selection at the 2017 NHL Draft following this evening's NHL Draft Lottery in Toronto. In addition to selecting seventh overall, the Coyotes own the Minnesota Wild's first-round draft choice as well as picks in the second, third, fifth and seventh rounds.
The 2017 NHL Draft will take place at United Center in Chicago, Illinois on June 23-24.
This marks the second time in Coyotes history and the third time in franchise history that the club has owned the seventh overall selection in the NHL Draft (Shane Doan - 1995 and Clayton Keller - 2016).

Other notable No. 7 picks selected in the NHL Draft since 1999 include Ryan Suter (2003), Kyle Okposo (2006), Jakub Voracek (2007), Nazem Kadri (2009) and Jeff Skinner (2010).
The Coyotes will have seven selections in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. The following is a complete list of the draft choices the Coyotes currently own:
1st Round: 2 draft choices
2nd Round: 1 draft choice
3rd Round: 2 draft choices
5th Round: 1 draft choice
7th Round: 1 draft choice
