GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- The Phoenix Coyotes won the Pacific Division title Saturday night with their 4-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild. This is the first division title that the Coyotes have won in the franchise’s 33 year history. The Coyotes will face-off against the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round of the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The National Hockey League will announce the first round schedule on Sunday, April 8 at 10 a.m. P.D.T.

The Coyotes have qualified for the Stanley Cup Playoffs in three or more consecutive seasons for the first time since the team clinched a playoff berth in its first four seasons in the Valley (1996-1997 to 1999-2000). Phoenix (42-27-13, 97 points) has now won at least 40 games for the third consecutive season, marking the first time in franchise history that the team has recorded three consecutive seasons with 40-plus wins (franchise record 52 wins in 2009-10). With the victory tonight against the Wild, the Coyotes have produced the three best seasons in franchise history over the past three years (2009-10 to 2011-12).

Once again, the WhiteOut is back at Arena. The Coyotes are encouraging fans to wear white to home games to support the team. Individual game tickets for the Coyotes home games during the first round of the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs are now on sale. Fans can purchase individual game tickets starting at just $40.
