Coyotes to Host Vegas Golden Knights in Home Opener on Oct. 7

GLENDALE, ARIZONA ---The Arizona Coyotes announced today that the team will host the Vegas Golden Knights at Gila River Arena in the team's 2017-18 home opener on Saturday, October 7. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m.
This marks the first ever matchup between the Coyotes and the expansion Golden Knights. Arizona is 14-5-1 in home openers since the team moved to the Valley of the Sun.

"We are excited to play the Golden Knights in our home opener," said Coyotes General Manager John Chayka. "It's a natural rival and I hope it evolves that way. Vegas is going to have a pretty good team as an expansion team. For us to have a team so close will be a real positive and exciting for the fans."
The Coyotes' entire 2017-18 regular season schedule will be announced on Thursday, June 22 at 12:05 p.m.
