COYOTES TO HOST SPECIAL OLYMPICS HOCKEY TOURNEY IN GLENDALE

GLENDALE, Ariz. --- The Phoenix Coyotes will host the 2008 Special Olympics Arizona Floor Hockey Tournament Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Jobing.com Arena in Glendale.
Over 130 athletes will compete at the tournament comprising eight traditional teams, consisting of only Special Olympics’ athletes competing with one another, and two unified teams, consisting of both Special Olympics’ athletes and non-disabled athletes.
The floor hockey tournament is free and open to the public.
Founded in 1968, Special Olympics provides people with intellectual disabilities continuing opportunities to realize their potential, develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage and experience joy and friendship. Special Olympics is an international organization that changes lives by promoting understanding, acceptance and inclusion among people with and without intellectual disabilities.
